Student Organization Diversity Award - 2003
Welcome
to the Texas A&M University chapter of Minorities in Agriculture,
Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) website.
After navigating this site, we hope you will become as enthusiastic
as our members are in carrying out the organizations missions and objectives.
Better yet, we hope you become a member.
You will see through the activities that MANRRS members are friendly
and outgoing and invite all students on campus to consider becoming
a member whose interests and goals mirror that of the organization.
Opportunities abound at Texas A&M University, but part of being
a successful student in college is also exploring the “other education”
outside the classroom in extracurricular activities such as MANRRS and
learning skills that will be beneficial in the workplace once you graduate
from college.
Some of the many leadership skills you will learn while participating
in MANRRS is goal setting, resume preparation, strengthening written
and oral communication, improve your problem solving skills, learn time
management, delegation skills, and how to work in groups, are but a
few of the skills you will develop while in MANRRS. Since MANRRS is
a professional organization, you will be able to network with many other
ethnic professionals in the fields of agriculture, natural resources
and related sciences and through this effort will help you to become
more culturally competent.
From study abroad opportunities and internships to professional skill
development as well as networking with business professionals and administrators
in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, we are dedicated to
opening doors of opportunity for you. It is up to you to walk through
them!
