Committees

Executive Committee The Executive Committee consists of the elected officers. The President of the chapter serves as the chairperson of this committee. The executive committee has general supervision of the affairs of the chapter between its regular business meetings. They are also subject to the orders of the general body. The committee meets bimonthly throughout the academic school year, with the exception of the Summer Term. The Executive Committee, in consultation with the Fund-raising Committee, is responsible for presenting a detailed budget and schedule of activities proposed for the upcoming year to the membership.
Fund-raising Committee The chapter Treasurer serves as chairperson for this committee. The committee has the duty to develop a detailed budget, in consultation with the Executive Committee, to be adopted by the organization at the first general meeting. The committee is also responsible for planning and implementing fund-raising activities including financial proposals for the organization. All monies belonging to this organization shall be deposited within 24 hours after collection and the Chapter Advisor must approve each expenditure.
Public Relations Committee The Junior and Senior Agriculture Council Representatives serve as chairpersons for this committee. This committee plans activities to promote the awareness of areas of study in agriculture and related fields as stated in the Bylaws of this organization. The chapter Reporter will serve as an advisor to this committee.
Social Committee The chapter Historian serves as chairperson for this committee. The committee welcomes guests and plans and implements social activities for the organization.
Membership Committee The chapter Secretary will chair this committee. This committee shall be responsible for the recruitment and retention of members for the organization. The chairperson shall keep an updated roster of members and will review and approve candidates for honorary membership.
Community Service Committee The chapter Vice-President serves as chairperson for this committee. This committee is responsible for setting up community service projects throughout the academic year. This committee is also in charge of coordinating the events such as Big Event, Rock around the Christmas tree, Adopt-a-Family, etc.
